Employee Picks from 2012/13 Product

So far the 2012/2013 season has produced heavy wet storms as wellOakley Unification Pro Jacket as some bone chilling storms that brought light dry snow. With this in mind, the current conditions are epic and the snowfall total for the season has reached 20 feet at resort levels. The forecast in the future looks like the storm days will fall on us once again towards the later part of this month and into early February. With this being said, here are a few items that can make sure that you get a great full day out in the hill no matter what the conditions are.

Oakley Unification Pro Jacket
Oakley Unification Pro Pant

Don’t be fooled by an Oakley outerwear kit.  This technical kit is very light weight and durable, complete with a Gore-Tex Pro laminate. From opening day to closing day, this kit will keep you comfortable and dry in any condition.

The jacket has a 2 way center front zipper and a removable zip out storm skirt. It has a more traditional technical fit with great stretch for any shell in the 3 layer shell category.

I have personally tested the Unification jacket/pant and can stand by its features and fit by saying its right up there at the top as a technical piece. You will never worry about sitting on a wet chair, and you will be one of the last ones down on a storm day when everyone else has been chased off of the hill by classic wet Sierra storms!

Oakley Canopy Goggle

This goggle has been a go to staple here at Kittredge Sports.  The Canopy has the widest field of vision with a great helmet compatible fit. Large lens design expands peripheral view in any direction. The Canopy has great venting and air flow due to its O-flow arch design. The goggle even has discrete notches in the frame to provide compatibility with most Oakley Canopy Black Fireprescription eyewear styles. The lens color of choice by the staff is the black iridium or dark grey on sunny days for the best contrast and hi-yellow on the storm or flat light days. Jump on this one fast, the Canopy also has the shortest shelf life on our wall compared to other styles and brands.

Armada Norwalk

Armada NorwalkThis is a must try ski, especially if Mammoth is your returning playground in the winter. The Norwalk is the wider brother to the TST. So it has a rockered tip with a more traditional tail and camber under the foot. This means the Norwalk drives through the end of a turn. It’s a stable ski at speed but doesn’t lose its ability to be a nimble ski and can slarve like the other fully rockered skis on the market. The Norwalk is versatile in all conditions that Mother Nature can grace on Mammoth Mountain. The Norwalk is a ski to be added to the must demo list!
